Limon, CO - Opens December 2007
I-70 Exit #359

Visit this new Flying J Travel Plaza located on 16 acres with a large paved parking lot for 146 tractor trailers, 8 diesel pumps, 9 private showers, laundry amenities, drivers’ lounge, a game room, certified J-Scales, along with trip permits to meet your state requirements. The new Country Market Restaurant & Buffet seats 146 guests. Pepperoni’s Pizza’s quickserve food court will also be available. This location also offers a new Country Market Store with a variety of high quality, name brand merchandise for personal use or gift giving. This new facility is located in the middle of the travel hub of eastern Colorado lying equal distance from Denver and Colorado Springs. Limon has always been known for its crossroads history. In 1888, Limon was established as a work camp for the new Chicago and Rock Island rail line that was destined to run from Kansas to Colorado Springs. The town is named after one of the original construction foremen.

Whiteford, MI - Opens December 2008
US 23 & Sterns Road

The opening of the Whiteford facility will introduce a great new look to Flying J’s network. The inside will have a fresh new atmosphere and maintain the high quality services and products that Flying J continues to offer its guests. Flying J will be introducing their new quick-service food outlet “La Pasteria” where guests will be able to enjoy made-to-order pasta. La Pasteria will offer a variety of vegetables, sauces and meats that can be combined and tossed with penne or fettuccini noodles to create your own hot pasta dish. The Country Market Restaurant & Buffet will seat 145 people and the popular Pepperoni’s Pizza will also be available. The new plaza will offer drivers 15 showers, a game room, J-Scales, Scan & Go, an ATM, the Country Market store and parking for 200 trucks and trailers. This small town is also known as Whiteford Township located in Monroe County, Michigan. The town reported the population of 4,420 on the 2000 census and is the only county in Michigan that is on Lake Erie. Needless to say, boating and fishing are popular in the area. The region features a unique ecology found nowhere else in Michigan, with low marshes and inlets.

Albert Lea, MN - Opens December 2008
I-35 & Highway 46

One of Flying J’s newest plazas will be located in “The Land between the Lakes”. Albert Lea is the southern gateway for Minnesota where Interstates 90 and 35 cross. The area is rich in agriculture, diverse in industry with retail and residential assets in the middle of many lakes. There are over 15 lakes in the area including Fountain Lake and Albert Lea Lake which are within the city limits. Bear Lake, Morin Lake, Pickerel Lake, State Line Lake, Church Lake, Eberhart Lake and many more can also be enjoyed in the area. This town also boasts that it is the ideal location for business development. Albert Lea provides free-flowing transportation corridors and easy access to markets. Just over 33,000 people have made this city in Freeborn County their home. Residents find a continental climate characterized by warm summers and sparkling winters with an average snowfall of 41.5 inches per year. This new Flying J Travel Plaza will offer its guests the Country Market Restaurant & Buffet with seating for 130 people. Travelers will also be able to indulge in fast food at Pepperoni’s Pizza and the Cross Roads Deli. Drivers will enjoy 9 private showers, a game room, financial services, propane, J-Scales, Scan & Go, an ATM and parking for 159 tractor trailers.

Midland, TX (Odessa) - Opened December 2007

Flying J has recently opened a new cardlock in Midland, Texas. This cardlock is unmanned and has five fuel lanes that can accept most major credit cards and the TCH fuel card.

Tucumcari, NM - Opened November 2007
I-40, Exit 333

This new Travel plaza opened November 6th with a lot of happy truck drivers on “The Gateway to New Mexico”. With parking for 136 trucks on 12 acres, guests can enjoy this new plaza in Flying J’s network. The Country Market Restaurant & Buffet seats 143 people. Pepperoni’s Pizza’s quickserve food court will also be available. While at the plaza, visitors will find nine showers, a game room, J-Scales, trip permits, an ATM and Scan & Go for over-the-road business needs. Larger-than-life dinosaurs and murals can be seen throughout the area along with the Mesalands Community College Dinosaur Museum, a firstclass museum with the world’s largest collection of full-scale bronze dinosaur skeletons. Cast at the local foundry, they will satisfy the dinosaur curiosity in all of us. The unique landscape and a variety of wildlife, including herds of antelope and deer, flocks of wild turkey, geese and other rare birds can be seen from the road.

New Improvements
