Delaware Court Approves Flying J Plan of Reorganization to Pay Creditors 100%
Flying J Inc. and its debtor Subsidiaries announced today that their Plan of Reorganization, which provides for the payment of its creditors in full in cash, plus interest, has been confirmed by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Yesterday, June 1, the transaction for the sale of the Bakersfield Refinery closed in accordance with the terms of the Asset Purchase Agreement previously approved by the Bankruptcy Court. As of June 1, affiliates of Alon USA Energy, Inc. are the owners of the Bakersfield Refinery.

Sale of Big West of California's Bakersfield refinery...
Flying J is pleased to announce that it’s taking another important step toward exiting from the Chapter 11 reorganization filed December 22, 2008. Attached is a press release announcing sale of Big West of California's Bakersfield refinery that was purchased by Flying J from Shell Oil Company in March of 2005. The sale of this non-core asset will generate cash to help address obligations, and will continue the Company's strategy of focusing on its profitable core business of successfully operating full-service travel plazas and fuel stops across the U.S. and Canada as well as its North Salt Lake Refinery and Financial Services companies.
